Laura Socias, DDS -- General Dentistry

As a general dentist, Dr. Laura Socias first seeks to understand the goals of her patients. She then works with the patient to design and implement a treatment plan that helps them achieve their goals.  

Dr. Socias completed her undergraduate studies at Marquette University.  She then went on to continue her education at the University of Illinois Chicago College of Dentistry where she earned her Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree in 2010. Dr. Socias received numerous honors while in dental school including the Curt J. Gronner Award honoring her volunteer work and treatment research, the Smith Barney Mercantile Award honoring excellence in the field of dentistry, and participated in the Pediatric Honors Program.  She also participated in the Urban Health Program, the Dental Student Ambassador Program, and the Head Start Program to promote community awareness of early childhood dental issues. Dr. Socias also served as a pediatric dentistry teaching assistant and assistant instructor of Gross Anatomy for pre-dental students.  Her professional affiliations include the American Dental Association, the Wisconsin Dental Association, the Hispanic Dental Association, the Chicago Dental Society, and the Delta Sigma Delta dental fraternity.  

A resident of Brookfield, Dr. Socias is also very active in various service organizations.  She has participated in Give Kids a Smile Day and served as a student volunteer for faculty-led research missions to impoverished areas of the Dominican Republic.  She is fluent is Spanish and enjoys golf, swimming, painting and participating in outdoor activities with her family in her spare time.
